Biography

Yael N. Lazar, Esq., also known as the “IRS Angel,” is a tax
attorney in Garden City, New York. Yael is a tax resolution
expert that’s regularly sought out by individuals and businesses
with income tax, employment tax and civil penalty
liabilities on the IRS and state level. Yael works out a reasonable
course of action and overall strategy her clients can live with, which
often produces results well beyond their expectations, but, most important,
restores her clients’ ability to sleep peacefully without the stress and fear
of uncertainty.
Yael is the author of Help for Your IRS Problems and was recently nominated
by the Long Island Press “Best of Long Island for 2012” in the lawyer and
law firm category, and was voted “Best of Long Island for 2012” in the
lawyer category. Yael has been seen on the Cablevision Channel 18 show
“The Hot Seat,” and has been heard many times on the Ed Linzer “Give Yourself
Credit” radio show on WNYH 740am, the Ken Landau show “Law You
Should Know” on WHPC 90.3FM, and “Plugged into Long Island” on WBAB
102.3FM. She has also appeared on “Meet the Experts,” which aired on ABC,
CBS, NBC and FOX affiliates.
Yael is a member of the New York Bar, U.S. Tax Court, Federal Court for the
Eastern and Southern Districts. She holds a J.D. from Saint John’s University
School of Law and a B.A. from SUNY at Stony Brook where she graduated
Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude. She’s also the founder and chair of
Angels for Austin, a nonprofit organization that helps children suffering from
Landau-Kleffner Syndrome. She spends her spare time sailing and snowboarding
with her husband, Bill, and their three children, Taylor, Kyra and
Catie.
