Biography

William Gold is an Orange County, California-based visionary in the real estate industry. He started on his path to success by helping to build a global communications company from 50 to 6000 employees – and with the acquisition of a key European internet firm – developed it into the largest internet company in the world at that time. William’s real estate/finance expertise is regularly sought out by the media, which he’s shared on NBC, CBS, ABC and FOX affiliates, as well as in USA Today and Newsweek.
His ongoing realization that banks were not working hard enough to help keep property owners in their homes – combined with his desire to help people beyond the pro bono financial work he was already doing – led Gold to launch REAL, a full service national company that could be dubbed “Foreclosure Fighters.” While matching buyers and investors with sellers across the country, REAL specializes in stopping foreclosures via all the available legal avenues to help facilitate short sales that are ultimately great deals for new buyers.
Working with high caliber CPAs and litigating attorneys, and drawing on the classic broker/attorney business model, Gold’s company can stop a bank from foreclosing on a property just minutes before foreclosure on any property.
REAL has a ‘friendly force’ approach with the banks, which includes an amazing equity share program, for homeowners to negotiate with the bank and maintain tenancy, while the agent still gets a commission on the transfer of title. The program allows the homeowner to stay in the property at a significantly reduced rate. The bank becomes a 50% co-beneficiary in the property. In this program, the bank takes no write offs.
“Bottom line, we are delivering candy to the bank, not medicine,” he says. “We can show the banks and investors that this option is far better than a loan modification or foreclosure. I am amazed that we only have a few politicians and economists that have looked at our white papers on this subject matter.”
