Biography

Vicente Njoku is a Nutritionist, graduating at the top of his class from New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) in 2010 with a Master’s of Science (M.S) in Nutrition. As a nutrition and fitness expert, Vicente advocates for health, fitness, and overall well being of individuals and the community at large and is particularly interested in disease prevention and alternative medicine, with a future research prospect in the area of protective effect of antioxidants such as vitamins A, C, and E on reactive oxygen species, Vicente’s goal is to help individuals/clients and the entire community optimize their health by educating them on how to harness the power vested in foods to prevent diseases and promote a healthy lifestyle. Vicente is also a final year medical and business (MD/MBA) student and is expected to graduate in 2013.

Vicente has a work background in healthcare and casino industry both as an assistant and a supervisor, and over the years has researched, prepared and presented numerous health related issues including selected topics on health education and promotion; health and fitness related topics; patient and staff communication enhancement skills, and issues on entrepreneurship/leadership skills both in the US and overseas.

Vicente is a member of the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) Alumni association since 2008; New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) Alumni association since 2010, sigma alpha pi and an honors society member: the national society of leadership and success (NSLS) since 2011 and with outstanding performance, Vicente received NSLS-national distinguished membership award in 2012.
