Biography

Rena Striegel founded Empowered Business Strategies in 2006
after a 10-year career in the banking industry. After working with
a wide variety of business owners in her role as Vice President of
Private Banking, she began a full-time consulting practice focused
on assisting business owners and executives implement best practices for greater
business efficiency and profitability.
Rena has a passion for helping clients make more money and have more fun! She is
known for being very hands-on in her approach to working with clients. By creating a
strong working relationship with her clients, she is able to help them achieve the level
of operational excellence that allows resources to be focused on growth rather than
on fixing problems.
Rena is the president of the KC South chapter of Business Network International
(BNI). Rena is a featured speaker at meetings and conferences throughout the
Midwest on topics related to challenges that business owners face. In addition, she
frequently offers free seminars and networking events structured to help business
owners connect with strategic partners and resources.
Rena received her MBA from the University of Iowa in 2003, and her undergraduate
degree in Sociology at Central College in Pella, Iowa. She is a certified coach and an
adjunct professor at Mt. Mercy University and Webster University.
Rena lives in Olathe, Kansas with her furry office mates, Vela and Zara (Newfoundland
dogs) as well as Tabitha and Gus (Persian cats).
