Biography

Author and entrepreneur, Nancy Phillips is the creator of the Zela
Wela Kids financial literacy and life skills products for children and
teens. With a BS in Human Kinetics as well as an executive MBA,
she has a formal background in both the biological sciences and
business. While working in the corporate world for almost twenty years, she held positions
in product development, portfolio management and international marketing for
three of the world’s leading medical companies.
Since becoming a mother, her new passion is to research and create fun resources to
inspire and help children and young adults to reach their full potential. She also coaches
parents who want to learn more about teaching their children good financial habits
and life “success” skills. She is the author of The Zela Wela Kids Learn about Becoming
Entrepreneurs, The Zela Wela Kids Build a Bank, The Zela Wela Kids Learn about
Needs and Wants and The Zela Wela Kids Learn about Money.
Nancy has been interviewed on radio stations throughout North America. She has
appeared on T.V., written numerous magazine articles, and been interviewed by both
magazine and newspaper reporters on this very timely topic.
