Michael Swift is a California native and real estate broker with over 23 years of real estate counseling and sales experience. He lives in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area with his wife Tara, daughter Aviana and son Alec, who are his BIG why in life and are at the root of his success over the years.

Receiving his real estate license at the young age of 19 back in 1991, Michael read every book on the subject of real estate and customer care that he could get his hands on. He also went to as many real estate seminars as he could in order to learn as much about the business of real estate as possible. Although real estate is a tough business to succeed in, especially for someone who was so young at the time, Michael flourished by focusing all of his time and efforts making sure that his clients were more than satisfied with their real estate experience. Flash forward 23 years…Michael currently attributes 93% of his business to the referrals of his past and current clients, which says a lot about what his clients feel about him and his business.

Michael focused primarily on helping people out of foreclosure through forbearance agreements and short sales for his first 4-5 years in the business during the real estate down cycle of 1991-1995. Due to his overwhelming success helping people negotiate these complicated scenarios, he was sought after by many real estate brokers in the community to help with their clients as well. He was recruited to Re/ Max Executive in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1993 as an Associate Broker to help train all of the office agents on how to successfully negotiate forbearance agreements (the modifications of those days) and short sale transactions.

Currently, Michael is one of the top real estate brokers in the San Francisco Bay Area and is in the top 1% of real estate sales nationwide. In 2013, Michael exceeded the $40 million mark in real estate sales for the year. Michael attributes most of his business success to the systems he has in place to proactively manage every step in a real estate transaction. This ensures that no balls are dropped and client communication is constant so each client has a positive experience and an experience that they would want to refer others to.
