Biography

Joey Schlager and The Richmond Realty Team have been serving
Central Virginia in spectacular fashion over the past six years,
having been named the No. 1 RE/MAX agent in the entire state of
Virginia, as well as one of the top 70 RE/MAX agents in the world.
That level of success comes from Joey’s commitment to providing
the best possible service to home buyers and sellers, as well as his groundbreaking

Joey’s two previous careers were a bit more rough-and-tumble than the real estate
industry. He spent eight years in the U.S. Marine Corps, followed by 14 years as a
police officer. During his final two years in law enforcement, he worked part time in
real estate and enjoyed it so much, he decided to make it his full-time career, a move
that he hasn’t had reason to regret.
Joey is a native of Virginia’s Chesterfield County and currently lives in Hanover County;
he also enjoys working in and being a part of the Richmond metro area. He’s
married to his high school sweetheart, Michelle, who’s an indispensable part of his
real estate team; together, they have a beautiful 10-year-old daughter, Kristen. Joey
loves the outdoors, and, aside from spending time with his family, counts fishing as
his favorite pastime.
