Biography

Jon Leise believes that the key to financial success lies in a holistic financial planning approach – which he implements by providing a variety of specialized products and services. He has developed a client service philosophy that focuses on highly personal and attentive relationships and customized, objective
services. Jon joined Janney Montgomery Scott LLC in 1992 and serves as Executive Vice President/Wealth Management and Assistant Branch Manager of the Philadelphia office. He is a member of Janney’s CEO Roundtable, former member of the Financial Advisory Council, a 2011 NABCAP Premier Advisor, and 2013 Five Star Professional Wealth Manager.
Jon is the founding member of the Leise Wealth Management Group of Janney Montgomery Scott. It is a family affair that includes his two sons and daughter as well as close friends. His daughter, Jenna, has worked with Janney since 1996 including seven years in the Retirement Plans Department where she received the Janney Meritorious Service Award. Jon Jr., does research and performance reporting and holds the Retirement Income Planning certificate from Wharton. His son Jake is focused on business development. Donna, Jon’s registered assistant, has been with him for over twenty years. She is familiar with all aspects of the Wealth Management process. His friend Jim, who started with Jon in the business more than three decades ago, also is an integral member of the team.
Among its many tools, Janney offers a retirement income evaluator that allows investors to “test drive your retirement.” This program enables people to sit in the driver’s seat of their own retirement and personally test the feel and fit of their particular plan. Before joining Janney, Jon worked as a financial analyst for the RCA Service Company and as a registered representative with Dean Witter Reynolds and Legg Mason Wood Walker. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Franklin & Marshall College and his Masters of Business Administration degree from Drexel University. Jon furthered his education by earning a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation from the College for Financial Planning and the Accredited Wealth Management AdvisorSM certificate from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Jon is currently seeking his Master’s degree in Gerontology from Saint Joseph’s University.
Outside the office, Jon serves as an active member of his community. He is a former member of the Riverwinds Advisory Board, West Deptford Planning Board, the Woodbury Zoning Board, and the Collingswood Board of Education. Currently, Jon is very active in Coaches vs. Cancer, a program founded by the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) that empowers coaches, their teams and communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer. He also remains active in the West Deptford Little League baseball program.
Jon resides in West Deptford, NJ, with his wife Debby. They have three daughters, two sons, four grandsons and two granddaughters.
