Biography

Jim Pickford has been coaching young athletes for over 2 decades, dating back to 1990 as a hockey and fastball coach to hundreds of aspiring athletes. Jim has been running hockey skill development camps throughout central Alberta for the last 10 years for local minor sports organizations, teams and specialty camps. There are many young athletes that Jim has had the pleasure to coach over the years that have went on to play on Team Brick Alberta, Bantam AAA, Midget AAA, Alberta Cup, AJHL and University hockey. More importantly many young men are now professionals in the work force with family’s leading healthy, happy lives.

Jim played 4 years of junior hockey in the AJHL for the Lloydminster Blazers appearing in one All-star Game. Now looking back Jim is the first to admit that improper training technique leading to numerous preventable injuries was definitely one of the contributing factors to not achieving his full athletic potential. After coaching for 10 years utilizing outdated approaches to physical and mental training, Jim stumbled across the IYCA. This was a perfect match for what Jim was looking for and ultimately led to the opening of the first International Athletic Revolution in Leduc, Alberta.

Jim and the Athletic Revolution Leduc staff are excited to provide the central Alberta area with a World Class option for young athletes ranging from the ages of 3-18 an opportunity to develop their athletic genetic potential in a professional, enjoyable and healthy environment.
