Biography

Erica has been a residential real estate agent since 1984, following an 18-year career as an educator. Migrating from Massachusetts to Arizona, Erica, her husband and two sons settled in Fountain Hills where she rode a path to amazing success – becoming one of the top 100 ReMax Real Estate Agents Nationally. Erica’s approach to her clients is influenced by her background in education. “People move because they want a better lifestyle. Before they make a decision regarding the largest investment they will ever make, they need to understand the value of the house. They need to know what to expect, where the pitfalls lie and how to avoid them.”

Working with a team, Erica provides services beyond the scope of selling, offering staging consultations and helping people prepare their homes for sale, even if it includes updating. She educates her clients by offering Equity-Building Consultations and Equity-Checkups, showing consumers how to build up equity and encouraging them to keep track of their equity. Erica is determined to see her clients succeed. When a homeowner called dismayed about what to do with the neglected home he inherited, Erica took charge of a complete remodeling project before getting the house sold.

Erica and her husband purchased a ReMax franchise in 1989. They sold it in 2000 and subsequently opened Erica West and Company, which they sold in 2005.

Erica’s marketing is designed to educate. She has appeared on CBS affiliate TV live news program as a real estate expert answering consumer’s questions. Erica is licensed by the State of Arizona to teach marketing to other agents. Her marketing ideas have been included in two books by real estate coaches, Bernice Ross and Mike Ferry.

Erica writes a weekly “Let’s Talk Real Estate” column in the local newspaper and a weekly blog on her website. Consistently recognized for her expertise and production, Erica is a recipient of the ReMax Lifetime Achievement Award and a member of the ReMax Hall of Fame. Erica has been a speaker at many real estate events and has shared the stage with past President Gerald Ford and UCLA Coach John Wooden and some of the top real estate agents in the country. As a skilled Certified Negotiator and a Seller Specialist Representative, Erica has sold more than 2000 homes.

Erica believes in giving back to the community. She has served as a director and president of the Fountain Hills Community Foundation and secretary of the board of the Golden Eagle Education Foundation. Erica is a past member of Rotary and has been involved in a variety of local charitable events. Erica and her team currently work at the same ReMax franchise they used to own.
