Biography

Raymond A. Mascolo, DDS received his dental degree
from Georgetown University Dental School in 1980. He
completed a general practice residency at Georgetown
Hospital. He has been in private practice since 1981 and
has been practicing at his current location since 1988.
Dr. Mascolo serves on the faculty at Adelphi University in Garden City, New
York both as an adjunct professor of Biology, teaching “Tooth Structure and
Dental Terminology,” and director of the Pre-Dental Preceptorship program.
He was a founding member of the Adelphi University Dental Advisory Board
and has been affiliated with the School’s joint degree program with Georgetown
and Tufts Dental Schools.
Dr. Mascolo serves as a police surgeon with the Suffolk County Police Department
and has been the team dentist for the NYPD and Suffolk County
Police Department boxing teams. He served as the commander of the 4102
FMST with the NY State Guard from 2002 to 2006. He has received many
awards for his community service and has been named Man Of The Year by
several organizations. Dr Mascolo is in the Hall of Fame at both Archbishop
Molloy High School in Queens and Saint Anthony’s High School in Huntington.
He has completed training in weapons of mass destruction awareness
and has completed 32 FEMA courses. He was part of a disaster mission
during hurricane Katrina. He currently serves as Vice President of the Police
Surgeons Benevolent Association and as President-elect of the Dentists for
a Better Huntington. He has been very active with helping homeless veterans
