In 2015, she published her first book called, Stressed Self to Best SelfTM: A Body Mind Spirit Guide to Creating a Happier and Healthier You.
After studying the mind and body as separate entities at university (with a psychology major and zoology minor), in the late 1980’s she started studying mind-body medicine which demonstrates the interwoven, inseparable link between the mind and body. In 1990, she had a spiritual reawakening and embarked on a new path. Through her personal experiences as well as her studies, particularly with the BodyTalk System and through her church, she has developed a deep understanding of the mind-body- spirit connection and the impact stress can have upon it.
Dr. Harrison embraces the belief that we’re all on a never-ending life journey, the purpose of which is to learn from both our mistakes and our successes so we can grow and help others. She also feels that to truly live up to our potential, we need to overcome the pressures of life so that we can go from our stressed self to our best self!
