Biography
James D. Thomas, DDS has practiced general dentistry
in Cass City, MI since 1996 after graduating from The
University of Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry. He has
two degrees in Biomedical Engineering – a Bachelor’s
degree from Case Western Reserve University, and a
Master’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
He has been interested in periodontal disease and how to treat it most effectively
since his early days in Dental School. When graduating from Dental
School, he was awarded the Periodontal Achievement Award for the student
who had shown the most progress in periodontal studies and patient care.
Because of the progressive nature of periodontal education and treatment
for his patients, he was contacted by the Centers for Dental Medicine and
was offered the opportunity to join them as a “Center for Dental Medicine.”
Using their proven protocol of advanced diagnosis and treatment for periodontal
disease, he has helped many of the area residents have healthier
mouths and lives.
Being fascinated with technology and how it can benefit patients, he is
regularly introducing new dental technologies that enhance diagnosis and
outcome of treatment. In conjunction with digital radiographs that reduce
radiation exposure, he also routinely utilizes soft tissue and hard tissue lasers
to maximize treatment outcome while providing a comfortable patient
experience.
Doctor Thomas lives in Cass City with his wife and eight-year old daughter.
