Charles M. Simons, D.D.S., M.S.D.
Specialist in Orthodontics

Dr. Simons is a specialist in orthodontics. His primary focus is tooth straightening and jaw alignment for children and adults. Attention is given not only to the teeth and the most current technologies of invisible, removable, and traditional dental braces, but also to the individual patient’s needs and desires in order to enhance their quality of life, individual accomplishments, and achievement of their goals.

Dr. Simons established the primary location of the practice in Kokomo, IN, in 1970. There are also satellite practices in Frankfort, IN, as well as in Peru, IN.

Dr. Simons is a graduate of DePauw University as a Rector Scholar, Indiana University School of Dentistry, and Indiana University School of Dentistry’s Department of Orthodontics earning an M.S.D.

Dr. Simons is a Board Certified orthodontist and holds status as a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontists. His practice as a specialist in orthodontics is limited to the practice of orthodontics for adults and children.

Dr. Simons has been president of the Indiana Dental Association, Wabash Valley Dental Society, Howard County Dental Society, Indiana Orthodontic Association, and the Great Lakes Association of orthodontists. He co-chaired the American Association of Orthodontists Annual Meeting in Anaheim, CA, in 1989. Nearly 20 years has been spent in the House of Delegates for the American Dental Association as well as many years in the House of Delegates of the American Association of Orthodontists with assignments to various committees and councils.

Dr. Simons is an active member of dental honoraries. He is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists as well as the International College of Dentists in which he is a Past President of the USA Section (over 7,000 members), secretary of the USA Section Foundation, and Councilman of the College at large (over 8,000 members world-wide). He holds the Distinguished Service Alumni Award from the Indiana University School of Dentistry. He is only the second person ever to have been presented an honorary membership in the European Section of the International College of Dentists.

Dr. Simons has served his community on many boards as an active participant and officer. He served two Indiana Governors as an Indiana Arts Commissioner for a total of ten years. He is a past president of the Kokomo Symphonic Society, and is currently serving on the board for the Kokomo Children’s Choir. He was awarded the highest gubanatorial award by two different Indiana governors and was named a Kentucky colnel

Dr. Simons married his wife, Alice Grace, in 1968. They have a son (a patent attorney in Denver, CO) and a daughter (a retired financial planner in Minneapolis, MN) and now realtor in Edina, MN, both of whom are married and with children for a total of six grandchildren.

He is currently a retired orthodontist after 42 years and is serving as business coach to business executives and professionals who want to grow their business and become energized by the process, enjoying less stress and more cash at the end of the day. He likes to engage an audience with stories, humor, a message, and inspiration.
