Biography

I am very fortunate that I got to fulfill my dream of working in
customer service and WOWING clients.
After six years in the Army and Army Reserves, I moved to Erie
to attend school, fell in love with Erie, Pennsylvania, and knew it
was where I wanted to stay. After graduation, I got a job as the
Service Manager at GTE Mobilnet, which is now Verizon Wireless.
My husband David and I met at GTE Mobilnet and married 18 months later. Although
I loved my job, helping David at Szymanski Consulting was an offer I just could not
refuse. My title is the Director of WOW, and my job is to make sure that each customer
experience is a WOW experience. Our philosophy is simple, we treat others as we
would like to be treated. This philosophy has allowed our company to grow and
prosper with long-term customers. We are not looking for quick sales, we are building
long-term relationships.
Szymanski Consulting is a long-standing member of the Manufacturer’s Association,
Chamber of Commerce, Erie Network Users Group and Technology Council of
Northwest Pennsylvania. Ten years ago I started a computer facility management
support company, ‘E-IT Support’ to complement Szymanski Consulting’s offerings,
and, more recently, have co-authored a book, Computers Should Just Work.
In my spare time my passion is volunteering. I love helping children and making our
community a better place. I am on the board for Community Shelter Services, secretary
for Auto Racers for Kids, and treasurer for Happy Scrappers Quilt Guild. I am the vice
president of Pennsylvania State Police Camp Cadet Program, and the Pennsylvania
District Chair for Growth for Kiwanis International. I am a past Distinguished Governor
for the Pennsylvania District of Kiwanis, where, with my team of 22,000 volunteers,
we set records for community service. I can be found volunteering wherever there is
a need in the community.
David and I have two Dachshunds and one Maine Coon cat – Wilbur, Oscar and Roxie
– and enjoy traveling, gardening, reading and biking.
