Biography

Will Clewis is an alumnus of The University of Central Oklahoma graduating in 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Will received countless awards during his stint at the U of CO. He was named Six Time All American Line Backer, Defensive Player of the Year and Line Backer of the Year in 2006 and again in 2007. Will had aspirations of going to the NFL but decided to pursue his dream of Education and Fitness.

In 2009, Will moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area and began his career as a 7th Grade History Teacher and Football Coach at Boles Junior High. After a few years of enlightening children and enhancing their physical abilities, he knew there was more. There was more to his gift and passion for fitness. In October 2010, Will founded AMP FITNESS LLC, which made its official debut in March 2011.

The DFW area had no clue what was about to happen next. AMP started off at a local park (Stovall Park) with 5 members. In November 2011, to accommodate its growth AMP moved to Deaver Park in Arlington, TX. By this time the word really began to spread about AMP Fitness. Throughout 2012, Will focused on providing top notch training and perfecting his business model with the dream of someday moving into his very own training facility. After countless hours of training clients (all the while still teaching), marketing, cleaning, training, marketing, training…did we mention marketing, in December 2012, Will hosted the Grand Opening of AMP Fitness on Kaltenbrun St. in Fort Worth, TX. This 2,000 sq.ft. tin building was truly a dream come true for him and his 50 members.

Throughout 2013, AMP’s membership grew by leaps and bounds. By August 2013, AMP Kaltenbrun would see 100 consistent members on a day-to-day basis. He then realized it was time to step out on faith and focus on AMP full time. Will resigned from his teaching position in August 2013. In April 2014 Will announced to his almost 200 member gym they would be moving to a 5,000 sq.ft. state-of-the-art facility. Will and the AMP Fitness Family currently are located at the Berry St. location. This continued growth is a direct result of Will’s desire to have AMP be a place where Men and Women come to simply “Reinvent” themselves. His customized program assists individuals in releasing the brakes off their internal and external lives. This, in turn, allows them to become the “BEST VERSION” of themselves also known as “Getting Better Everyday!”

Will is a certified trainer holding the American Muscle and Fitness Certification, Crossfit Level 1 Certification and Under Armour 360 Certification.

Will has also been recognized for his volunteer efforts throughout Fort Worth and the surrounding cities. Will has raised and donated thousands of dollars by hosting charity boot camps for Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness, Autism Speaks, Children’s Cause for Cancer Advocacy (CCCA), The Wounded Warrior Project and many more.

In his leisure time, Will’s hobbies include fishing, golfing, reading, grilling and spending time with family. Will is married to his beautiful wife Danielle, and has 3 children.
